King & Co. didn’t start as a consulting firm. It started as a back-office cleanup for a senior-care operator that was bleeding agency labor while struggling to keep PBJ submissions on time. The fix wasn’t a strategy deck or a five-pillar framework. It was someone with operating experience taking the work off the owner’s plate and running it cleanly: files current, payroll on time, compliance documented, training tracked.

The model worked. The same fix turned out to apply to cannabis operators, to healthcare practices, to local manufacturers, anywhere the owner had quietly become the de facto HR department and the back office was eating their week.
